Spiritual Motivation

“For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.” Ephesians 2:10

Greetings Jewels! Isn't it interesting to know how people can become so intrigued with their daily lives? We look forward to planning or attending the next social event with EXCITEMENT...we look forward to the new fab or trend with hopes that no one else is aware of...we look forward to the end of our work schedule, with much EXCITEMENT but yet when it comes to God's work, we tend to become less concerned and not readily prepared to experience SACRIFICES, LONG HOURS AND EVEN SECRETLY SHED TEARS...but yet we wonder, where is the EXCITEMENT?!?

Daily, I'm learning that God's work is not based upon self-gratification; more soley on his perfect will being manifested through our lives. Please do not misunderstand! I'm not saying that you can not have fun in God because you can; I'm simply saying there will be times that you will have to let go of some things or bad habits in order for God to begin the pruning process. For example, ladies how long have you been trying to shed those unwanted pounds?!? My point exactly...LOL...Now you see, you can HAVE FUN in the Lord!

To reiterate, in all that you do for the Lord, remember to do it with MUCH JOY, LOVE AND EXCITEMENT. As stated in the scripture above, God has already predestined you for a purpose so don't be discouraged in your daily walk with the Lord. Look forward to seeing Him per-fect His perfect will in you.

Many blessings upon you,

Chaquita

"His Love Endures Forever"

Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; his love endures forever. Let Israel say:“His love endures forever.”  Let the house of Aaron say:“His love endures forever.” Let those who fear the Lord say: “His love endures forever.” (Psalms 118: 1-4)

Hello Everyone!

Thanksgiving is just around the corner, HOORAY! Many of us will either travel to gather with families and friends or remain in the comfort of your own home with your families. Whatever your pleasure, ENJOY....ENJOY...ENJOY!

Isn't it amazing how time flies?!? Lord willing, we're about to embrace another season and New Year. Reflecting on past events, there are some things such as people, places etc that have either withered or passed away. Only remains left behind are its memories. You may not ever be able to receive or give back love in return but at least you have the memories, right?!?

Now picture God's love. Isn't it beautiful? It's not a fleeting memory but it's an everlasting love that's available to all mankind, whose not afraid or unwilling to receive it!!! No matter how old or young we are, HIS LOVE ENDURES FOREVER. Regardless of our circumstances, HIS LOVE ENDURES FOREVER!!! Even with unanswered prayers, KEEP PRAYING, because HIS LOVE ENDURES FOREVER!!!

Pray this message will marinate your minds and hearts. Remember God loves you and so do I.

Happy Thanksgiving,

Chaquita

Putting Your Feet To Your Faith

Hello Everyone,

I wanted to take a quick moment over lunch to share this thought with you.

This week at my church we are having revival services.  For those of you who don't know what that is, revival is a service were Christian's come together to hear the Word of God, be encouraged in our faith and rededicate ourselves to doing God work. (I had someone ask me what is revival yesterday.)

Last night the speaker talked about faith.  She quoted Matthew 9:29 which says, "...according to your faith be it unto you."  You can read the entire chapter to get a clear understanding of the scripture text.  This chapter in Matthew tells the story of the blind men who were following Jesus asking to be healed of their blindness.  Jesus lays His hands on their eyes and then says according to your faith be it unto you and instantly they received their sight.

So how did feet come into the picture?  Well the speaker really talked about how the blind men followed Jesus although they could not see him.  Then it hit me... they put their feet to their faith.  They believed with all of there hearts that Jesus could and would heal them.  They began to walk in the direction of were their faith which was in Jesus.  So many times we have faith in people and things and therefore we begin to follow them.  Place your faith in Jesus Christ and follow after Him.

Okay, I hope you get this with me.  If you are believing God to do something in your life.  If you have been praying, asking God, seeking God and knocking on God's door for something put your feet to your faith!!! Follow Jesus and begin walking in the direction that you are wanting to go.

If you have been asking for a job, begin get your feet in line with your faith and go after the job you want.  Have you been asking for God to help with financial provision? Begin to put you feet to your faith and look for ways to earn income while you keep faith that He will pour down a blessing upon you.

Now for my single Sisters seeking a spouse.  Do not, I repeat do not take this to mean that you are to hunt down a man like a tiger hunts down its prey.  It is up to the man to look for the woman.  "He who finds a wife finds what is good and receives favor from the Lord." Proverbs 18:22 NIV.  Putting your feet to faith in this area is to begin to prepare yourself to be a wife.  Ask yourself, do you need to improve your relationship with Jesus Christ so that you can be a true blessing to your husband, do you need to work on being a better housekeeper, better at managing your finances or becoming a better cook.  If the answer is yes to any of those questions then put your feet to faith in those areas and follow Jesus Christ as you prepare yourself.

What a revelation?!?!  I so love God.  He just blows my mind!

Asking God to bless each of you in a mighty way.

Much Love,
Jamison

Something's Gotta Give

Good Afternoon!

BE ENCOURAGED ON THIS DAY! YOUR CURRENT SITUATION DOES NOT DEFINE WHO YOU ARE; BUT IT'S HOW YOU DEFINE THAT SITUATION.

BE ENCOURAGED MY BROTHERS AND SISTERS IN THE LORD AND KNOW THAT HE HAS SOMETHING IN STORE FOR YOU. IF YOU HAVE TO CRY, THEN CRY. IF YOU HAVE TO WEEP, THEN WEEP. IF YOU HAVE TO MOAN A LITTLE WHILE LONGER, THEN MAY THE HEAVENLY CHOIR RECEIVE EACH AND EVERY SOUND!

BE ENCOURAGED TO NOT ALLOW SATAN OR ANY MISHAPS AFFECT YOUR JOY THIS DAY OR THIS WEEK! JUST CONTINUE TO DECLARE GOD'S WORD OVER YOURSELF, YOUR FAMILY AND YOUR CHILDREN. PRAY GOD WILL STREGTHEN YOU WHEN IT APPEARS OTHERS MAY HAVE COUNTED YOU OUT. BELIEVE GOD TO BE YOUR STRONG TOWER WHEN SITUATIONS SEEM AS IF THEY'RE ABOUT TO OVERTAKE YOU. HOLD ON TO GOD AND HIS PROMISES...HE'S CERTANILY NOT THROUGH WITH YOU AND I KNOW HE'S DEFINITELY NOT THROUGH WITH ME!

MAKE SURE YOU TELL ANY AND EVERY BYSTANDER TO WEAR THEIR SHADES BECAUSE GOD IS GETTING READY TO DO SOMETHING FOR YOU, HALLELUJAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

PEACE & BLESSINGS,

November Memory Verse In everything give thanks!

Hello Everyone,

It is time for the November memory verse!

"Give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus."
(1 Thessalonians 5:18, NIV)

As Chaquita said in her last post, our minds become so bogged down with the issues of daily life.  Work, church and family can all be sources of stress.  But when life hits us in the face and we are in the middle of whatever the issue may be, give God thanks while in it. Thanking Leads to Blessing!

The pain, struggle and disappointment you are dealing with in this season are only for a moment.  Yes you may feel that it will never end but God holds your future.  He knows the plan He has for you. Thank Him in advance!!!

 Much Love,
Jamison

What's In Your Heart?

Gooooooodddd Moooornnnnniinng!!!

(If you haven't noticed, I AM EXCITED about today and this blog)

Last night, I received an opportunity to commune with my King; no ladies, not my husband but with the Lord himself. Exploring through various scriptures and Christian articles, to "set aside time" was the main principle for us to live by. Have you ever wondered about the daily activities you spend so much time in? Do you receive enjoyment out of these activities? We've all been there... rushing to a child's event, church meeting, or dinner date and once we arrived, how did you feel? IMAGINE if we gathered that same energy and centered it on HIM? Now ask yourself, "how would that feel"?

Praying God will continue to grant you joy, peace and love everyday. May you discover your personal enjoyment in this life and trust God in knowing He will be with you, even to the ends of this earth. Love you all and have a wonderful day!

Sincerely,

Chaquita

A Spirit of Excellence!!!!

Hello Everyone,

Thank you so much for your prayers during our families time of loss.

The last few weeks I have been praying about the ministries I work in at my church, particularly the Membership Support Ministry.  Well, our faithful God has answered my prayers and I just have to share this with you.

Last week I was speaking with my mentor Sister S is what I will call her because I don't have permission to use her name online.  Sister S was speaking to a group of use and she mentioned having a Spirit of Excellence in regards to our worship.  That hit me like a ton of bricks.  That is what I need to have in regards to not only the Membership Support Ministry but also in every area of my life.  At work, at home, at church and in my relationships with family and friends.  A Spirit of Excellence!!!!

My friends and fellow brothers and sisters in Jesus Christ, please pray that God will give you a Spirit of Excellence in all that you do.  Write it down and share with others, it is time that we all strive to have a Spirit of Excellence.

My God Bless You All,

Jamison

Show Your Support

Salutations Bloggers!

Our very own sister, friend and confident Jamison Price experienced two deaths in her family. Both an uncle and godmother passed away. As believers in Christ, we know that God makes no mistakes and to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. So although tears may fall, we trust and believe that God will provide strength and comfort to The Price Family during their time of bereavement.

Please remember Jamison and her family in your prayers. Love you and God Bless!

Sincerely,

Chaquita

Make A Choice To Rejoice

"Beloved, do not think it strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened to you; but REJOICE to the extent that you partake of Christ’s sufferings, that when His glory is revealed, you may also be glad with exceeding joy". 1 Peter 4:12-13.

Good Morning, Saints of God! Just sending you some words of encouragement this morning. We understand how our everyday lives can become a bit overwhelming. In your mind, you're probably having a battle of what all needs to be done, has to get done or just not going to get done but whatever state you find yourself in, just REJOICE in the Lord! Consider all that you've been asked to do today or this week. Once you have it in your mind, think about how your absence from that very thing would impact those around you? So my brothers and sisters you may feel tired and stressed out but REJOICE IN THE LORD. REJOICE because God has already predestined you for greatness! REJOICE for HE has given you power and authority to trample over serpents. REJOICE because God has placed you in certain areas of your life, preparing you for a GREATER HARVEST! Please know that every tear, every restless night, every prayer, every fast has been sown into good ground and God is saying "MAKE A CHOICE TO REJOICE"; HE has seen all your works and HE will be just to reward you.

Take heed to His word and all His statutes...God bless!

Love,

Chaquita

Praise Him!!!

Hello Dear Ones,

Have you taken time to give God a shout of praise on  today?  Have you raised your voice to say "Hallelujah" or "Thank You Jesus"!

God is so good to us.  He loves you unconditionally, he provides for you,  He protects you,  He leads you, He keeps you in your right mind and He gave His only begotten son Jesus Christ who died for our sins, was raised from the dead so we can be saved and have eternal life by believing in Jesus and that He is the Son of God.

God is awesome, amazing, all knowing, excellent, faithful, just, holy, righteous and wise.  God is worthy of your praise on today. Right now at this very moment take time to praise our God.

When praises go up, blessings come down!  Praise God! HALLELUJAH!!!

God Bless You Dear Ones!

September Memory Verse

Hello Everyone,

How are you?  Please forgive me for being behind in getting out the September Memory Verse.  As we continue to strive to have a closer relationship with God our father, it is so important to memorize His word.  David said, "Thy word have I hidden in my heart that I might not sin against thee."  Hiding God's word in our hearts keeps us on the right track.  When circumstances arise the word of God will come back to our minds giving us direction on what we need to do and even how to do it.  What is better to have in your heart than the living word of God.

1 Peter 1:15-16 NIV
"But just as he who called you is holy, so be holy in all you do; for it is written: 'Be holy, because I am Holy.'"

There is nothing for me to say about that verse but to strive for holiness everyday of your life.

Much Love,

Jamison

While There's Time...

Salutations to All from Tupeo, MS!!! It most certainly been a very looong time since I've written to you. There have been quite a few changes that I must adjust to but God is still in the blessing business...thank God for you and my dear friend, Jamison whose been faifthful and dilligent in making sure there was "some posts" on our blog. Yay!!

As I was contemplating on what to do next on my list (**wink**), God placed on my heart to leave you all an inspiring word on this evening...time truly brings about a change. With any change, we all must learn how to adapt and move forward, knowing God has a plan for our lives. Although people may change, friends will come and go but one true affirmation about God is that his love for us will NEVER change.

Last week, it seemed as if the devil was very busy in our church and even in the lives of our brothers and sisters. From car wrecks to dangers seen and unseen, God continues to keep us shielded and protected from all. So whatever you may be dealing with or going through, declare with me according to Job 13:15, "Though they slay me, yet will I trust in Him".

God is love and so am I!

Peace and Blessings,

Chaquita

Get Going!

Hello Everyone,

Praying that you all are doing well.  It has been so long since I have written to you.  Been working but also in a mini slump.

Does this ever happen to you?  You have so many ideas, plans and dreams that you want to accomplish but it all seems overwhelming to just get started let alone complete what has already been started.  Well that is the dilemma I have been in leading up to my slump.  I have so many things I want to write about, so many ideas and dreams for our local church,  dreams that I would like to achieve for myself in life and organization projects to do around the house.  So many things are on my mind seemingly at once, that I shutdown because of not know were to begin but also because of fear (yes I know, I know) about what will happen if it succeeds or fails.

Well, while sitting at my desk just now it came to me!  Just GET GOING!!!!  Do whatever it is that God has placed on  your heart to do and DO IT!!! Don't wait, hesitate or  procrastinate.  Get Going and don't stop!  Don't ever stop!!!  Believe that God has given you these thoughts, ideas and dreams for a reason.  One to fulfill the purpose He has for your life and two to help someone along the way.

So I am telling you what God just told me, GET GOING!!!!!!

Much Love,
Jamison

Listening Your Way Out of Failure

We lead such messy lives sometimes, directionally challenged, bad-decisions-scarred lives. And sometimes when we least expect it, we turn around and discover that we’ve sunken into a ‘pit’ that welcomed us so open-armedly that we didn’t even notice when our sinking began.
Renowned Bible teacher, Beth Moore, teaches about the ‘pit’, and how we can become so familiar with it that most people don’t even bother to seek a way out. We often decorate our pits, she says, so that they seem more homely. We move in our emotional couches and tables, recline and put our feet up, because in our minds we’ve hit a dead-end and after all, what’s so bad about being in a pit anyway? So it is we get stuck.

Though there is only one explicit mention in the Bible of someone being thrown into a pit, the idea of being hurled, whether by others or by our own doing, into a low, ditch-like situation is common throughout the entire biblical text. The human dilemma is that we are imperfect beings armed with free-will and a whole slew of emotions. Thus, we sometimes make choices based on how we feel, rather than slowing down and really giving thought to the possible repercussions. Our choices, or those of others, can wind up impacting us so negatively that we turn inward and assume the status of a pit-dweller.
Yet, pits are not homes, neither are they meant to be comfortable. At best, the pit is a place of testing and development, it is the place of processing deep hurts and disappointments and navigating through major life changes, but it is never supposed to be a place of permanent derailment. Your pit should produce a greater level of fortitude within you rather than weaken your resolve.

So how do you get out once you’ve slipped into one of life’s low places? I believe the answer starts with hearing God’s voice. There is such tremendous power, peace, and direction in hearing the Father’s voice in the midst of your situation, that it completely outweighs every other method or agent of relief. The glory of His presence is contained in the fact that He is ever present, and so even at our lowest point we discover, if we look closely, that He is there, lingering still, by our sides. And so it’s His voice that replaces light, when all around us is darkness.

God’s voice heard echoing through His Word is the rope thrown down to us for our rescue. There is undoubtedly nothing more powerful on the face of the earth than the Word of God – written, spoken, and manifested. If you listen closely, His Word will always point you to the ‘Exit’ sign, and reveal the heart of God to you. His Word always comes in to mop up our mess and realign our focus with the will of God. Today, choose to lean on God’s spoken and written Word as you navigate your way out of the place called ‘failure’. His Word is more than sufficient to guide you.

Scripture of the Day: “Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.” - Psalm 119:105

August Memory Verse

Hello Everyone,

I hope that all of you are doing well.  Today is August 1st, which means it is time for a new memory verse.  I hope that these verses are helpful and encouraging.  If you are memorizing them please let us know!

This month the verse is coming from Psalm 119:114 NIV.
"You are my refuge and my shield; I have put my hope in your word."
God is our refuge!  He said in His word that nothing can take us out of His hand.  That means regardless of what is going on around us God has us in His hand.  He has our back!

Hope in God's word!  Pray it back to Him.  Study it.  Listen to it. (I am right now!  If you go to www.biblegateway.com you can type in a book of the Bible or a passage of scripture then hit the speaker button and you can listen to the book or passage.)

Always remember God's word is true.  The Bible is God's love letter to you.  Read it, study it, memorize it and live by it.  God's word stands forever. Amen.

Much Love,.
Jamison

When? (Sorry, became a long post.)

Happy Lunch Time,

It has been sometime since I have written to you.  I hope that all of you are doing well. I just wanted to jump on here quickly to share with you a thought.

Last night I watched a TV program about the struggles  some people are having after facing job loss.  One family truly touched my heart.  The husband lost his job and after that the wife was diagnosed with breast cancer.  His hurt, disappointment and discouragement was all over his face without him saying a word.  While watching him going through his  routines of making his kids lunches and taking them to school so that they could  have some normalcy, you could see the love he has for his family.  He said when he lost his job he lost his value to his family.  Heartbreaking to hear from a man who loves and needs his family so much.

I am making this post not because of him but because of a comment his wife made.  She said, "I know we made vows.  In sickness, in health and we got the sickness.  For richer, for poorer and we got the poorer.  For better, for worse and we got the worse. When will we get the positive things."  Wow!  She did not talk to the host the rest of the show.

How many times have we asked God when?  When Lord?  Well number, I don't know when.  I can say that I have asked that one word question many times over the years.  God does know when but it is hard because sometimes things seem to only get worse while waiting. We have to learn how to wait on Him and keep moving ahead.  Taking each day at a time.

You may be saying, Jamison that is easier said than done.  But I assure you that it can be done. I have been there very recently.

These are some of the things I did while going through nearly 3 years of struggle, disappointment and shame after loosing my job.

1.  Pray - Even when you are angry pray.  Even when your like this is my 40th time asking for this!  Pray anyway.

2. Cry - Let it out.  Job 16:20 talks about how Job poured out his tears to God. Crying does not mean you are weak.  When we are being broken for God's glory it is hard and it hurts.  Let the tears flow.

3. Read the Bible - Search the scriptures for God's promises.  When the time comes God's word will come back to you and you can pray His word to Him. ( Back to number 1.)

4. Journal or talk to someone. - Yes you are talking to God in prayer and you can talk to him throughout your day. It also helped me to have someone to talk to.  Out of my inner circle of 3 friends only 1 knew what was going on.  He held everything I said in confidence, let me talk and cry when I needed to and he fed me the necessary cupcake I occasionally needed. LOL!  If you don't have that one special person then write it down.  Write down every feeling thought and even your prayers.  WRITE IT!  This step is to help you get the words and questions out of your head.

5. Disclaimer to number 4.- Watch your words.  Proverbs 18:21 tells us that life and death is in the power of the tongue so don't say something you don't want to see happen.

6. Help and/or pray for other people.- The best way to get your mind off of yourself is to focus on someone else.  Pray for others even start a prayer journal or list of those you are praying for.  Help at your church or volunteer in the community.  This step also helps you to feel better about yourself and helps rebuild self esteem and confidence.  Plus seeing God answer your prayers for others is an encouragement to you that your answer is on the way.

7.  BE GRATEFUL! - This is so important!!!  Be grateful that you are alive.  Be grateful that God has a plan for you.  Be grateful that Jesus Christ saved you.  Be grateful that God loves you. Be grateful that at this moment you have the technology to read this blog!  BE GRATEFUL!!!!  Right now just say, Lord I Thank You!  Lord I Love You.

So how are things right now for me you ask.  So much better. Just on this past Monday I texted my mentor that I feel like myself again.  That my heart feels full of joy, love and peace.  Guys I have not felt like this in almost 3 years.  I was in a deep, deep pit but to God be the glory.

I hope this post has helped you.  Know that God loves you and so do I.

Much Love To You,
Jamison

Happy Monday!!!

Good Morning, Bloggers! Sorry for not reaching out to you all in the past week. Hoping that each of you are continuing holding on to God and his unchanging hands. Hoping that He will continue to enrich you and your families with peace, blessings and everlasting love. Remember that He is a God that can not lie and if we continue to delight ourselves in Him, he will give us the desires of our hearts. But let's not let that be our only means of serving Him. Let's become engrounded in His Word, His presence, His love so others may desire to know Him as well. Have you thanked Him today? Have you told him how much you love Him or adore Him? Don't hold on to anything and think He possibly doesn't know how you feel! Remember He already knew you when you were being created in the womb. HALLELUJAH!!!

Heavenly Father, we come this day with a mind made up to continue to serve, praise and worship you. Father, forgive us for any sins we have committed. Forgive us for not showing love to others as you would want us to. Convict us when we begin to think vain or deceitful things and cleanse us from selfish desires and wants. Father, we desire to stay in your will but help us to not fall prey to the enemy's tactics. We're aware that the enemy comes to kill, steal and destroy; he's always looking for someone to devour. Father, we come before you and acknowledge that you are the potter and we're the clay. We acknowledge YOU being our buckler, our strong tower, our refuse in the time of the storm. Father, deposit in us a spirit of discernment and let us not be moved or tricked by flattering words or actions. As we continue to live day by day, we commit our every being, thought and ways unto you. Father, we're seeking your direction in all areas of our lives. You are the Good Shepherd and we desire to be led by your Holy Spirit. Father, we love you. Father, whatever you're doing in the midst of my brothers and sisters, Amen! Father, whatever or whomever you need for us to let go, Amen! Father, even with tears in our eyes from pain, heartache and frustration, or misunderstandings, Lord Amen! For we know that all things work together for the good of those who love God. Be blessed and encouraged is my forever prayer for each of you!

Have a wonderful week!

Love,

Chaquita

What purpose are you serving?

Good Morning! In life, we become so consumned in our daily routines, jobs, duties etc. The reason being is because we EXPECT RESULTS such as promotions, raises, achievements and so forth. But what happens when the role(s) you've been portraying has became stale or unproductive? You may ask yourself this question, "what purpose am I serving?" Hmmm, now you may begin to ask "what area(s) in my life is lacking such purpose and what steps can be taken to improve the identified area?"

John 15:5 says: "I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing". Here Jesus is emphasizing the connection between the vine and the branches. Jesus is the source of life and the source of fruitfulness. The person who has a continual intimate fellowship with Jesus will produce much fruit. Apart from that fellowship with Jesus, we will not produce fruit no matter how hard we try or how much we work at it. We can read the Bible, study it in the different languages, and study all the works of different teachers and still not have fellowship with God the Father. We can pray until we are blue in the face and still not have fellowship with Jesus. We can obey all the laws and still not have fellowship with the Holy Spirit.

In conclusion, if you've ever asked yourself this question, don't condemn yourself into thinking that God does not love you. He may be trying to get your attention and needs you to focus on Him in spite of whatever you may be going through right now. He LOVES YOU! And don't you forget it. May you continue to seek God for direction in all areas of your life and watch how He'll work it out for you.

Listed below are some words to live by:

a . SEEK: (meaning to search diligently for).  (Jeremiah 29:13).
b. CALL: (meaning to cry out).  (Jeremiah 33:3).
c. ASK: (meaning to make a sincere request). (John 15:7).
d. WAIT: (meaning to be patient to receive). (Psalms 27:14).
e. HEAR: (meaning to listen to understand). (I Samuel 3:10).
f. VOLUNTEER: (meaning to be willing to serve before asked). (Isaiah 6:8).
g. OBEY: (meaning to follow through with the instructions).  (John 10:27).

Next, take some red food coloring and pour a few large drops of the food coloring on top of the oil and watch what happens. It may take a minute or more for the food coloring to penetrate through the oil. If after a minute or so nothing happens, try adding a little more red food coloring. Now, see the water as the world and yourself as the thin layer of cooking oil. See the red food coloring as the love of God flowing through your life into the world. Don't just read this, but try it. It will be an illustration that you won't forget.

Never Be Bound Again

Good Morning, All! Hoping that your week is going smoothly for each of you. If not, just think, it very well could be worse so embrace the moments while you are still able to live and breathe God's precious air.

Earlier this morning, I heard this song titled "Never Be Bound Again". I attempted to post its lyrics online but was unable to locate them. But some of the words are: "I will never be, bound again; I have my liberty; now, I'm free". Brothers and Sisters, this song should be a testimony to all who have ever been in bondage, prison or desolation. Many of us have experienced countless losses in our lives; we've allowed for those circumstances to affect our ability, our emotions and even our will to live. But know you this day, that we will never be bound again. Whatever current or past sitauation you find yourselves in, know that God has already won the battle and each of you has been predestined for VICTORY!!! It may not look like it; it may not even feel like it but just know that God has a purpose for you.

Remember Jamison and I are praying for you and wishing you the best on your Christian journey. In addition, please let us know what comments or suggestions you all may have in assuring the Salty and Bright team are meeting your spiritual needs.

Have a wonderful day!

Love,

Chaquita

June Memory Verse Is Up

Hello Everyone,

Okay! Today is June 1st and that means it is time for a new memory verse. This months verse come from Proverbs 13:12.
"Hope deferred makes the heart sick, but a longing fulfilled is a tree of life."
So many of us have hopes and desires that we are waiting on God to fulfill.  In our season of waiting we may feel heart sick, wondering if the things we have been praying about are going to become reality.  We cry and pray and cry some more and pray some more.

Take a look at the verse again.  "...but a longing fulfilled is a tree of life."  It takes a long time to grow a tree!!!(preaching to myself right now.)  It doesn't grow over night or in the time it takes to pop a bag of popcorn in the microwave.  We cannot treat God like He is a microwave and our prayers are the food.  Think trees!!! They take a long time to grow but when they are full grown they are full of green leaves, provide shade and protection and most of all they stand years and years.

You see, when we heat food in the microwave and don't eat it quickly it gets cold, hard and nasty.  Why would we want microwaved blessings from God?  Trees my friends think about the tree that He has planted and is cultivating for you.

Make it a great day!

Check Out Priscilla Shirer

Hello Everyone,

I hope that each of you are doing good today.

This is a shout out post to Priscilla Shirer.  My Mom, Chaquita and myself got to see Priscilla live at Central Church in Collierville, TN.  She spoke at a church leaders dinner where I my friend and prayer partner Nicole introduced us and Jerry her husband.  They are the cutest couple.  It was a great weekend!!!  My Mother still talks about it.

I highly recommend you check out Priscilla Shirer.  She is a woman of God, who listens to God and is does not hold back sharing His Word. Her ministry is called Going Beyond Ministries.  Check out her website at www.goingbeyond.com.  She is also on our Link List. (right hand side scroll down.)

Be blessed and much love to you,

Let The Church Say, AMEN!!

Good Morning! Andrae Crouch is responsible for writing the beautiful song, "Let the church say, Amen!" If you have not heard of this song, please visit YouTube and take a moment to listen not only to the song but to the WORDS written in the song. At times, we become so hypnotized by the melodies, harmonies to where we don't receive what the songwriter meant for us to receive through the WORDS. One famous section of this entire song I enjoy is:

Make this your response… AMEN
To whatever he says …AMEN
From the healing of your body…AMEN
To the raising of the dead…AMEN
No matter how you feeling…AMEN
Or how your world is reeling…AMEN
Battle on through the night…AMEN
Cause you’re going to win the fight…AMEN
Even in the valley…AMEN
Or standing at your red sea…AMEN
Continue to say…AMEN
Cause your help is on the way.. AMEN
My God has spoken
I heard him..LET THE CHURCH..So let the church say…SAY AMEN

And if you're feeling creative, insert your own personal statement and just say AMEN!!!

Remember God loves you and so do I! Have a blessed day!

Love,

Chaquita

Remember Not The Former Things...

Good Morning! If you'd ever experienced any type of heartache from someone, did you secretly wish for that person to feel your pain as well; wanted them to understand what you were going through? Come on, BE HONEST! Now, you anxiously begin processing the situation, analyzing the problem(s), understanding why it had to happen and out of all the millions of people in the world, "why me"? Once you've passed through these mind-boggling areas, consoled your aching heart and mind, you now have to find the strength to forgive.

If this proves to be difficult for you to do, I encourage you to revisit scripture Luke 23:34 which reads, "Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do". Even at His point of death, Jesus asked for forgiveness for all humankind. Jesus didn't sing the "woe is me" song or dwell in a pity party frenzy, He simply asked for forgiveness. WOW!!!!

Brothers and Sisters, let's remember to CRUCIFY the FLESH, NOT PEOPLE (family, friends, loved ones, etc)...move past your hurts, your pain and frustrations and pray for the strength to forgive. None of us are perfect. Matthew 6:15 (KJV) "But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses".

Please stay in prayer! The devil does come to steal, kill and destroy. And if he can detour you in any shape, form or fashion outside of God's will, he most certainly will. Don't let the enemy in! Guard your eyes, heart, ears and mind. Feast on things that are good, pure, lovely; feast on God's Word.

Isaiah 43:18 (KJV) says "Remember ye not the former things, neither consider the things of old".

Praying each of you will continue to have a blessed and wonderful week!

Love,

Chaquita

Don't Drown In Your Own Desires

The term SELF generally refers to a focus on the needs or desires (interests) of oneself (Wikipedia). Self will oftentimes focus on things that matter to them such as "when will I see him/her again, when will I get married, why did I not receive a call from him/her, when will I have kids?" These are only a few thoughts that tend to plague the SELFish mind of us all. Yes, I said all. If you have never experienced this type of anxiety, please let me know, lol...Readers, if you look closely within these questions, you'll see the "I" being utilized multiple times. Why is this? Revisit the first line and you shall see.  Luke 9:23 clearly states, "And he said to them all, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me."  So what if you'll never see or hear from him/her again; obtain the the house on the hill with a white, picket fence; or have any children to tend after? Would you still doubt God's faithfulness? We better not! God isn't punishing us nor does HE wants us to dwell on the 'have nots'. Instead He said in 1Peter 5:7, "Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you."  Brothers and Sisters, begin to forget about yourself, concentrate on HIM and worship Christ our Lord.

During the "wee" hours of the morning, God dropped this subject on my heart. And I'm thankful for that! Honestly, this message was an eye opener for me and Lord I am sorry. If this message has convicted you in anyway, don't ignore, begin to repent now and ask Him to strengthen you as you walk daily with Him. Re-direct your focus, attention, needs and desires on HIM, not man. If you'll be obedient, patient and faithful He will diligently reward you.

Be Blessed is my prayer!

Love,

Chaquita

Happy Mother's Day

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!!!

Special hello to all of you mother's!  Including you who are like a mother to other!  Sunday May 13th is your special day.

We will by cards, gifts and the restaurants will be packed this weekend because Mom is not cooking!  My Dad and I are taking my Mow to her favorite steak restaurant were she only eats the salmon.  Go Figure!  Got to love my Mother!

Over the years I have noticed that I say a lot of the words and phrases she says.  It makes me wonder how a mother can make in impact even when they aren't aware that they are.  That is why whether we are mothers, want to be mothers, spiritual mothers or like a mother to others, we must be mindful of ALL we say and do.  Some one is always watching you and learning from.  Lets make sure they are seeing and learning good things.

Happy Mother's Day to my Mom, Chaquita's Mom, and to all of you!

 Much Love,

Jamison

Embrace The Moment

Good Morning! In the book of Ecclesiastes, Chapter 3, we're made aware that there is a time for everything. Jamison and I were conversing on yesterday about the many testimonies we've shared in our lives and we finally came to this conclusion: Embrace the Moment! Whatever your season in life is, just embrace it.Personally, I feel as though I'm standing in front of the Red Sea and not sure of what to do. In the meantime, I will continue to seek God's face for direction and believe that He will open a pathway for my good, just like He did for the children of Israel. I will continue to praise Him and acknowledge how all the glory belongs to Him!! Sometimes we look at our situations, whether big or small, and think "it's not going to get any better" or "when will this end". Let's not wonder in the wilderness any longer. Begin to study and learn your season!!! First, you must recognize what season you are in , 2) Apply biblical principles to your season(s), 3) PRAY, PRAY, PRAY and 4) Include God in ALL that you say and do. Again, just remember to embrace the moments you encounter in life; whether good or bad, and submit yourselves to the will of God.

May each of you have a wonderful and blessed week!

Love,

Chaquita

National Day Of Prayer

Hello Everyone,

Did you know that today is the National Day of Pray here in the United States of America?  There are special events all focused on prayer happening around the country today.  Please take time to pray for our nation, our president and our armed forces.  They all need our prayers.  This is not a political post or blog so please don't think I am giving support to anyone in politics.  Prayer is important for us all!  We all need it including those in our government.  Pray for the citizens in our country who do not know Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior that their hearts will be touched and that they will see the light of Christ Jesus in us leading them to Him. Amen.

I am including the President's comments on the National Day of Prayer from the official National Day of Prayer website.  We may want to also visit it at www.nationaldayof prayer.org.

Be blessed is my prayer for each of you.

Much Love,
Jamison

From the President of the United States

2012 NATIONAL DAY OF PRAYER PROCLAMATION
Prayer has always been a part of the American story, and today countless Americans rely on prayer for comfort, direction, and strength, praying not only for themselves, but for their communities, their country, and the world.
On this National Day of Prayer, we give thanks for our democracy that respects the beliefs and protects the religious freedom of all people to pray, worship, or abstain according to the dictates of their conscience. Let us pray for all the citizens of our great Nation, particularly those who are sick, mourning, or without hope, and ask God for the sustenance to meet the challenges we face as a Nation. May we embrace the responsibility we have to each other, and rely on the better angels of our nature in service to one another. Let us be humble in our convictions, and courageous in our virtue. Let us pray for those who are suffering around the world, and let us be open to opportunities to ease that suffering.
Let us also pay tribute to the men and women of our Armed Forces who have answered our country’s call to serve with honor in the pursuit of peace. Our grateful Nation is humbled by the sacrifices made to protect and defend our security and freedom. Let us pray for the continued strength and safety of our service members and their families. While we pause to honor those who have made the ultimate sacrifice defending liberty, let us remember and lend our voices to the principles for which they fought — unity, human dignity, and the pursuit of justice.
NOW, THEREFORE, I, BARACK OBAMA, President of the United States of America, do hereby proclaim May 3, 2012, as a National Day of Prayer. I invite all citizens of our Nation, as their own faith directs them, to join me in giving thanks for the many blessings we enjoy, and I call upon individuals of all faiths to pray for guidance, grace, and protection for our great Nation as we address the challenges of our time.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand this first day of May, in the year of our Lord two thousand twelve, and of the Independence of the United States of America the two hundred and thirty-sixth.

Walls: Keep Your Guard Up

Greetings Brothers and Sisters!!!

I apologize for not greeting you on yesterday. I'm trusting each of you are steadily "press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus". It's truly a wonderful feeling in knowing that we are His children and because we're His children we have been called as heirs to His kingdom, AMEN!!!

In reference to Jamison's post, she listed issues that tends to play a role in each of our lives such as distractions, personal issues, family issues, etc without seemingly knowing that her post will intricately play a role in the topic I'm about to share with you, WALLS: KEEP YOUR GUARD UP!

The book of Nehemiah is solely based on a man whose main task was to build a wall as ordained by God. Without hesitation, Nehemiah complied but this task was not easy. He faced threats, oppositions, and need I say, distractions. Referencing Nehemiah 6 (I so love this chapter), he was doing the work of the Lord until he was met with distractions or tricks of the enemy (Sanballat, Tobiah and Geshem the Arab). They tried to detour Nehemiah from building the wall by using false accusations and threats but Nehemiah replied to these accusations by saying" For they all made us afraid saying, their hands shall be weakened from the work, that it be not done. Now therefore, O God, strengthen my hands", (Nehemiah 6:9)...Nehemiah didn't stop what he was doing nor did he become distracted by the enemy; he diligently and faithfully depended on the Lord for help and we see that the wall was built in 52 days!!! So I say to you, BE ENCOURAGED! Yes, the enemy will do EVERYthing that He can to get you from doing God's work but BE LIKE THE TREE THAT'S PLANTED BY THE WATER...DO NOT BE MOVED!!!

Father, it's with great pleasure and joy that I come before you in the name of Jesus. Lord, thank you for shielding each of us from dangers seen and unseen. Thank you for your endless forgiving ways toward us. Lord, we thank you. Father, we shield ourselves in the armour of God while singing praises unto you. For we think it not strange concerning these fiery trials as though something strange is happening to us but we count it ALL JOY when we fall into divers temptations. Lord, it's because of You we are able to lift up our eyes whence cometh our help, our help cometh from You. Hallelujah! In the matchless name of Jesus Christ, we thank you and Amen....Amen!!!

P.S. Leaders are targets for attacks. Please remember to pray for our spiritual leaders and their families.

Thank You!

Love,

Chaquita

May Memory Verse

Hello Everyone,

It is nice to take a little break this morning and give you the new memory verse for the month of May! This month the verse is coming from Proverbs.

"Let your eyes look straight ahead;
fix your gaze directly before you"
Proverbs 4:25 NIV

I have this verse on a sticky note on the wall next to my desk at work.  Sometimes we get so distracted by our issues, drama, other peoples issues and drama, work problems, spouse problems, kid problems and then our own personal problems.  With all of these issues and problems we take our eyes off of the mark (goal) we are supposed to be running towards.  What is the goal you say?

"Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself to have taken hold of it.
But one thing I do, forgetting what is behind and straining towards what is ahead.
I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me
heavenward in Christ Jesus."
Philippians 3:13-14 NIV

The goal is to live our lives for Christ Jesus!  To push to be more like Him.  To follow His commands and teachings.  To obey God.  These are the life goals of a Christian.  Our prize is in heaven so we must keep pressing (praying, living right, working for the Lord) until we get there.  I encourage you to read the entire 3rd chapter of the book of Philippians to help you better understand what Paul is talking about and to help you know what you are running for.  Be Blessed!

Much Love To You All!

Jamison

Lord, Pull On My Heartstrings

Happy Tuesday, Children of God!!! I pray goodness and mercy shall follow you all the rest of your days. During my time of meditation last night, "Lord, pull on my heartstrings" manifested in my spirit. Curious to know the concept behind this statement, I questioned the significance of its meaning. So I thought about guitar strings (chords) and the angelic instrument, the harp. Both are capable and powerful in allowing us to experience a nostalgic effect caused by its melodious sounds. But ask yourself, who's doing the work? Is it the strings or is it the person playing the music?

Brothers and Sisters, I have to attest that it's my God who continues to pull me through the many valleys and abysses of life challenges. Daily  remind yourselves on how WONDERFUL and how GREAT our God is to consider you as one of His own. He is the POTTER and we are the clay!! Allow Him to make beautiful music in and out of your life! Allow HIM to AWE you in your daily walk! And when people ask, "why are you so happy?" Just respond and say, "God is playing my favorite music and all credit belongs to Him".

Heavenly Father, we come boldly before your throne of grace, with a heart of gratitude. Because of You we are able to live. Father, we ask that you forgive us of our sins and wash us from any act of inquity or wickedness. We are your vessels seeking and desiring to be used by you. Lord, help us to cast our concerns on you so that we may continue to walk with boldness and righetousness. Father, please guard our hearts and emotions so we may not defraud ourselves in the face of the enemy. Help us to discern spirits of lust, trickery and decpetion. Father bring the word to our memory to help us fight off those things that are not from you. Father, please continue to cover our pastors, pastors' wives and the entire body of Christ. Father, we love you and adore you. We offer our hearts unto you and ask that you make the most beautiful music ever played and contagious enough to win over lost souls in this world. Jesus, we know you are able to do exceedingly and abundantly above all we can ask or think according to your riches and glory. In your son Jesus name, we pray and give thanks, Amen!

Love,

Chaquita

Be Thankful

Good Morning, Brothers and Sisters! Please recall a prayer request for our sister, Renee, who was battling cancer. Sadly, I'm sorry to report that she died this morning at 5am. The flesh may not ever be able to comprehend it but our spiritual natures should be thanking God that our sister no longer has to suffer in pain anymore. So I ask that you keep her family in your prayers and remember others during your time of meditation. As always, may God continue to shield and protect you and your loved ones. Be blessed is my prayer!

Chaquita

Jesus Is Risen!!!

Matt 28:6 He is not here: for he is risen, as he said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay.

Happy Tuesday, Brothers & Sisters!!! How great is our God?!! For HE has risen!!! Easter is vastly approaching us so let us all be reminded that our God is not dead, but very much alive. If you're in a season of wilderness or in the pits of a drought, remember that God has you exactly where he wants you. This is not the time to give up or throw in the towel. We serve a God who is all knowing, all powerful, ever present and faithful. Enjoy today. Live through this day. Shower others with love, attention and support. Forget about your problems; Forget about how "you" think the day is going to end; Forget about what happened yesterday and give God all the glory, honor and praise. HE HAS RISEN!!!

I pray God will continue to cover each and every one of you until we meet again. Praise God for the blessings he has given you. Praise God for HE is good. Praise God for seeing another day. Praise God for health and strength. Praise God throughout your trials and tribulations. Praise God for his mercy endureth forever. Praise God through your hurts, your pains, your frustrations. Praise God, Praise God and lastly, Praise God!!!

May the love and presence of God dwell in your conversations and fellowships with others as you live day to day. Remember that you are blessed and highly favored in the eyes of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ!

Peace and Blessings,

Chaquita

"I SEE LIGHT ALL AROUND ME"

God Bless You on this morning, Brothers and Sisters! Hoping your week has started off on the right track and if not, still PRAISE GOD, anyhow; you still have a few more days left!!! Have you ever wondered about the importance of "light"? One of the essential functions of light is to make SEEING possible! WOW!!!

I would like to share this personal testimony to you all: in just a matter of days, I've received phone calls, text messages, etc from my spiritual family who are dealing with health issues, inability to walk, ongoing pain, and so much more. It's difficult, at first, when trying to encourage someone when you yourself are in need of encouragement as well but when I think about Romans 12:15 "rejoice with those who rejoice; weep with those who weep", I know that I to have to remain strong for my family in hopes that their faith will not waver but be steadfast in the name of the Lord. We all have to be mindful and sensitive to God's Holy Spirit. Allow Him to do his work in us and through us. We have to trust that God is not slack concerning his promises to His people. So although the journey may seem tiresome and even stressful, trust in the LIGHT and watch how he will safely guide you throughout any periods of drought or darkness. Believe in God...Watch and Pray...Trust in the Light...

Be blessed,

Chaquita

Everything Will Be Alright

BILLS...LOANS...FINANCES...UNEMPLOYMENT...UNRULY CHILDREN...UNRULY COWORKERS..DECISIONS...DECISIONS....DECISIONS...I'm almost 99.9% certain that many of you are experiencing some type of "head crisis" that tends to pull on your mental and spiritual strings. You may also question how much longer or when will it all end?!? Well dear friends, I'm here to tell you that it's not going to end anytime soon. As long as we're here on this earth, there will always be obstacles facing us ahead but we do not have to succumb to these troubles. It's a MIND thing!!! God has already informed us that we were more than conquerors. So guess what?!? You have been presdestined to win!!! Remember that whatever you may be facing or worrying about, just know that according to Romans 8: 35-39 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or danger, or sword? 36 As it is written, "For your sake we are being killed all the day long; we are regarded as sheep to be slaughtered." 37 No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. 38 For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, 39 nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Believers, delight yourself in the Lord and watch Him give you the desires of your heart. Trust in the Lord today! Father in heaven, we come humbly before you and acknowledge you as being the light and salvation in our lives. Father, forgive us of our transgressions and any sins we have committed. Father, help us to delight ourselves in you and to have a thirst just like the deer panteth for water. Lord, receive glory out of our lives. In spite of what we go through on a daily basis, we affirm for our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory. Father, we love you and trust that you are working it out for our good. Father, bless each and every reader, doer and hearer of your Holy Word. In Jesus name, Amen!

Have a blessed week,

Chaquita

Don't Get Tired Yet, My Response

Hello Everyone,

Just wanted to jump on the blog right quick and give a BIG thank you to Chaquita for her post on yesterday.  If you have not read it please do so.

She had know idea about this, last night I was ready to trough in the towel on EVERYTHING! Yes even pull the plug on the blog and just do my 9 to 5 job.  When you feel overwhelmed and under prepared then Satan will  throw everything at you to make you feel like you need to let it go and just sit down.  But thank God for friends who bring God's word back to your mind when you can't for yourself.  Thank you Chaquita for listen to God and writing what He gave you.

So although my initial thought was to say good bye to you all today, instead I say Hello! :)

Have a great day!

Be Blessed,

Jamison

Don't Get Tired Yet

Good Morning!

Many of us are juggling alot of responsibilities on a day to day basis. Some of these duties include family, friends, church ministries and relationships/friendships. We tend to think/feel no matter how much work or energy is projected into these areas, we wonder, will there ever be an end result? According to Galatians 6:9, "And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not". HALLELUJAH!!! Children of God, rediscover the reason in why you do the things you do and ask God to guide you in all your ways! Have joy in the area(s) you might have been called or volunteered in to do. You never know what God is getting ready to do in your life and those around you. Although we're not trying to perform good deeds in order to receive something from God as if HE owes us something in return but just stay on the path of righteousness. To the mother, father, sister, brother, friend, counselor, usher, choir member, lay member, rediscover the joy you once had when you were first called to serve. Trust God will make a way for you when you call upon Him; He's near! So don't get tired, don't you dare give up! I challenge you to meditate on Hebrews 12:1 "Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us".

Children of God, it's my prayer that each of you will have a blessed week in the Lord. So if you happen to encounter a friend, colleague or coworker experiencing hardship, consider it an opportunity for you to minister to that young man or woman and watch how God will move into that person's life and those around you. In all that you do, magnify the Lord!

Love,

Chaquita

Give It All Up, To Gain It All

Hello Everyone,

How are you doing?  I want to share with you a thought I had today after a conversation I had with Jay one of my colleagues and our bother in Christ this morning.

We talked about working in ministry in our local churches, the love we have for it and the fear of the unknown.  You may be wondering fear what fear?  We discussed how we are both on the Potter's wheel right now.  The Potter is God our Father in heaven and we are the clay. He brought up the story of the rich young ruler in Matthew 19:16-24 focusing on verses 20-21. I encourage you to  read the entire text.  The rich young ruler asked Jesus what must he do to have eternal life.  Then in verse 21 Jesus said, "If thou wilt be perfect, go and sell that thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come and follow me."

How many of us have told God that we will do anything for Him, go anywhere for Him and completely give ourselves, desires and lives to Him but when He tells us what to do (whatever that may be for you) some of us turn and walk away like the rich young ruler.  I am not saying that we turn away from God but we turn away from the purpose he has for our lives.  We have to ask ourselves are we willing to give it all up, to gain it all.

I understand it is scary to think about giving up the things we desire to fulfill what God desires.  I know someone is saying what do you mean?  For example, I am single and desire to one day to be married and have a family, my Mom wants grandchildren (can anyone relate), but by my saying, Lord I give up what I desire for what you desire, He may say no to the husband and kids.  Then since God gives us free will, I would have to choose between having a family or not having a family with the benefit of fulfilling God's purpose for my life and gaining a great eternal reward in heaven.  One thing that Jay said was Jesus may have looking to see what the rich young ruler would choose to do because that would show rather or not he really had a heart for God.

We have to remember that God is FAITHFUL!  He is not going to ask you to give up something and not replace it with something better that only He can give you.  WOW!!!  At some point the clay has to yield to the Potter in order for something beautiful to be made.  Are you willing to yield?  Are you willing to give it all up, to gain it all!?!?

Thank you Jay!

Jamison

Hold On, Don't Give Up On God

Good Morning!

Trusting each of you are still holding on to God and his unchanging hands. On this past Sunday, one of our ministers brought a thought provoking sermon titled, "Hold On, Don't Give Up On God". Many of us are still experiencing some personal, financial, emotional and spiritual issues in our lives and find ourselves trapped in a place that we think there's no escape, BUT GOD!!! Saints, do not allow whatever your issue is to come in between you and your God. If you think about it for a moment, that's exactly what Satan wants for you to do. Satan wants to pin you in a dark hole because he's in a dark hole. Satan wants you to think lowly of yourself because he is lowly. Satan even wants you to think you are worthless because he is worthless. ALL LIES!!! Saints, I beseech  you now to shake off those self-defeating thoughts and begin to praise God. Praise God because it was HE who went to the pits of hell, reclaimed the keys and allowed his children to be free so that we may one day walk in LIGHT! Praise God because he considers you above the angels! Praise God because he considers each and every one of you a peculiar generation and a precious jewel...WHO WOULDN'T WANT TO SERVE A GOD LIKE THAT?!?!

Brothers and Sisters, I encourage you to pray and ask God for direction in your lives. Seek His face early in the morning and watch Him move on your behalf. We are his children; We are heirs to the promise. So don't doubt Him, don't be discouraged. Encourage yourself in the Lord Jesus Christ. Be blessed is my prayer!

Observing Lent

Hello Friends,

As some of you already know the Lenten season started this past Wednesday which was Ash Wednesday.  Some of you may have never heard of Lent and others of you observe it yearly.

Lent is a period of 40 weekdays leading up to Easter or Resurrection Sunday.  For  that period of time we as Christians observe fasting, abstinence and penitence.  To clarify, you may choose not eat certain types of food, not watch TV or something you would normally do and you focus on God's forgiveness and salvation that we have through Christ Jesus.  The Lenten season is also the perfect time of year to increase you time reading the Bible and praying.

A friend of mine picked up a daily devotional book and CD for the Lenten season.  So I will be going through it. Also I am giving up desserts (yes including chocolate so when Resurrection (Easter) Sunday comes I will be hitting up Kroger for candy) and bread (will also stuff myself with bagels and cream cheese, look out Panera).  All joking aside I choice those items because  I wanted my fast to be more meaningful to me.  Those are foods that are very hard for me to go without eating daily, but this is a time to die to oneself and focus on Christ Jesus and the sacrifice He made for us. My bread and dessert sacrifice pales in comparison but it keeps my mind focused on Him.

I hope this post helps to encourage you to observe Lent.  Do not worry about starting late.  Do it for the benefit of getting to know your Lord and Savior Christ Jesus on a deeper level.

Since this is a time of prayer and reflection please comment and let us know how we can pray for you.

Much Love,
Jamison

Just Wait

Good Morning, Brothers and Sisters!

My mother and I had a delightful conversation over the phone, last night. I had revealed to her that I was having a "Gideon" experience. If you never heard or read about this character, please read the story and then you will understand what I'm talking about...lol...

Throughout life's twists and turns, we have to remain calm and trust that God will be able to do, just what He said He will do. So, whatever is on your mind or whatever you're seeking God to do in your life, JUST WAIT! Don't rush; don't become anxious or eager, JUST WAIT!! Allow God to really minister to your spirit during this time. Do not lean to your own understanding but continue to acknowledge Him in all your ways and HE shall direct your paths (paraphrased Proverbs 3:5-6).

Faithfully praying for each of you! Should you desire prayer or someone to touch and agree with you, please feel free to contact me. May God's Blessings be upon you all!

Valentines Date With Jesus

Hello All,

Funny story to share.  At this time in my life God has not blessed me with a mate but has blessed me with the gift of singleness.  So for Valentines, on the way home from a church meeting, I decided to take myself to dinner.  Then it hit me...  I will have another date with Jesus.  Sometime back I posted about my first date with my One and Only.

So I sent my BFF Chaquita a text that I was at Panera Bread to for my Valentines date with Jesus.  She replied , "let me know how it goes".  Too funny.  So when I called her this is part of the conversation we had.

C - How was it?
Me - Good.  He is the quite type so we didn't have any out loud conversation.
C - (laughing now) What did y'all eat?
Me - He didn't eat.  He watched me eat a very large bowl of soup and half a sandwich with a cookie. ( I am laughing my head off by then.)
Me - Since He provides me with income He really did pay for dinner.
C- Laughing uncontrollably and not able to respond.
Me - Since He lives in me when I opened the door He was opening the door for me.
Both of us are howling with laughter by then.

I share this funny story with you to let you know that we can choose how to see things in our lives.  As a positive or a negative. I could have been the sad single crying in her bowl of soup or the joyful single taking time to sit with her savior Christ Jesus and enjoy Valentines day.

Just to be transparent with you.  The day did not start as joyful as it ended.  It started with anxiety. (Forgot about being anxious for nothing.)  Hoping beyond hope that a special friend would ask me to dinner.  He didn't... But a friend who sticks closer then a brother, Jesus, was there all along wanting a little alone time with me.  Wow!

When was the last time you decided to make lemonade out of life's lemons?

Much Love To You All,
Jamison

LOVE...

Hello Everyone,

On this Valentines Day as I got ready this morning and looked at my cuff bracelet.  It has part of 1 Corinthians 13:4-6 on it.

4 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5 It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth.
Were you see love insert God.  God is patient with us.  God is kind to us.  I could just keep going.  He is so good to us.  He loves us so much!!!

Know that God loves you and so do I.

Much Love,
Jamison

Happy Valentine's Day!!!!!!

Happy Valentine's Day to each and every one of you...I pray God will continue to enrich you with much love, joy and happiness. May you be blessed on today!

A Valentine Prayer

I said a Valentine prayer for you

and asked the Lord above

to fill your heart and bless your soul

With the precious gift of love.

I asked Him for sincere love

The kind that's meant to stay

Just like the generous love

You give to those you touch each day.

I prayed for love from family

And from every cherished friend

Then I asked the Lord to give you

His love that knows no end.

Love,

Yes HE Can!!!

Good Morning Heirs of God!

So sorry I was unable to leave a prayer post on last week but please know that I carry you all in prayer, daily...One of the security guards came into my office and shared how a very close friend of his was in the hospital battling cancer. I come before you now asking that each of you will help me lift his friend, our sister in Christ, Renee, in prayer...

Heavenly Father, we come with a heart of gratitude and love. We thank you for waking us up this morning and blessing us to make it to our destinations. We are forever yours and we look to you for all of our help, guidance and protection. Lord, we humbly present ourselves to you on this day and asking that your will be done in our lives for your glory to be revealed in us. Father, we lift up our sister Renee who is battling cancer. Father, we believe that by your stripes she is healed in Jesus name. Father, we thank you for breathing life into her body. We thank you for the fight you have placed down on the inside of her. We thank you that she is more than a conqueror. So we say goodbye cancer, goodbye pain, and goodbye. Though they slay us, yet we will trust you. Father, we thank you for comforting Renee's heart and spirit and we thank you for giving her strength like wings of an eagle. Lord, minister to her now in the name of Jesus. Lord, bring peace to the mind. Remove fear. Remove doubt. Lord, help her to lay aside every weight in the name of Jesus. Do it, God...Do it, God! Father, we pray you provide strength and support to her family and friends. Help them to see that you are still in the blessing and miraculous business. Father, we love you so much because you first loved us. Lord, we thank you! Continue to fill us with your precious spirit so that our prayers, our praise, our worship will flow to you like streams and rivers, all the day long. Lord, we love you and adore you. In Jesus name, Amen!

Brothers and Sisters, please be mindful of others as you go about your daily lives and lift up a prayer for them as we never know what anyone is going through. Thanks for your support and may God's blessings be upon you.

Love always,

Chaquita

Protect Your Mind

Good Morning, Sunshine!

Heavenly Father, we come with hearts of praise and thanksgiving. We thank you for blessing us to be alive and well on today. Thank you for being our buckler, constantly fighting off evil spirits that try to cause discord or damage in our daily lives. We're thankful to know that at the mentioning of your name, every demon has to flee. Thank you for covering our minds. Lord, we will think on things that are pure and not of evil. As a man thinketh, so is he. Father, we believe we are a peculiar generation; we believe we are conquerors; we believe that we can do all things through your name that strengthens us. No more will we resort back to our old ways; behold all things have been made new. Lord, we thank you for a renewed mind and heart. Lord, we give thanks today for you said "greater is he that is in you than he that is in the world", Hallelujah Yahweh, we give your name all the glory, honor and praise. We will continue with this mindset of praising you all the day long. You are so worthy of our praise. We love you and adore you. May you continue to cover each and everyone on today. Let's Talk About Faith

Matthew 17:20 says, "And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you".

Brothers and Sisters, please meditate on God's Word, believe in His Word and trust that He will make a way for you and your loved ones. His Word does not return void. Be encouraged on today and join with me in prayer...

Heavenly Father, we come this day lifting your name up on high. You deserve to be praised and adored. We delight ourselves in you. We are so thankful to see this new day. We are thankful to have health and strength in our bodies and a praise on our lips. Father, forgive us of sins we might have committed and those against our brothers. Father, we are striving to please you daily; sometimes we may stumble or fall but you continue to pull us on through. Father, I know not what my brothers and sisters are going through on this day or week but Lord we will continue to act in obedience to your Word. So whatever the issue or situation is, begin to speak to those mountains and watch God move in your lives. Father, we thank you for your Holy Spirit that lives in us. We thank you for giving us power and authority to trample over serpents. We thank you that in due season we shall reap what we sow. We thank you that you are getting the glory out of our lives. We thank you that even in the midst of our battles, our struggles, we are still able to encourage those around us. Father, continue to blow our minds with your awesome power. Continue to enlarge the territories of those that trust in you. Father, build up the ministries , build up the churches, build up the workers of the field. Help them not to become discouraged but Father send the support, send the worshippers, send the praisers, send the comforters, send your help, Lord. In all that we do, in all that we go through, Lord we say Yes to your will. Father, we set our desires aside and we say Yes to your will. Heavenly Father, remove pride; remove self-doubt; remove any thoughts of jealousy and just do a new work in us. Let us continue to show love to all men. Let us continue to walk in your way. Help us to keep your statutes and commandments, day by day. Lord, we thank you. We honor you. We adore you. It's in Jesus name, I pray, Amen!

Have a glorious day in the Lord, Brothers and Sisters!!!!

Love always,

Chaquita

Memory Verse

Hello Everyone,

Wanted to bring your attention to the memory verse at the top of the page.  Each month there will a new memory verse for us to memorize.

I would like to encourage us to memorize God's Word.  It helps us through the tough times, give us hope, increases our faith and reminds us of God's promises.

This month the verse is Proverbs 21:5 NIV.  Let's take the time to read it, memorize it and live it.

Get To Building Ladies

Happy New Year!!!!!

I haven't been on the blog for the new year so I wanted to get on it today.

Today is for the ladies so guys pass this post onto the women in your lives.

Ladies it is time for us to become contractors!  Building contractors!  Specifically wisdom building contractors!

Proverbs 14:1 says, "A wise woman builds her house,  but with her own hand the foolish one tears hers downs."

Ladies if  we are not building our houses then what are we doing?

I am teaching on this tonight in Bible study and I am so excited because God has had this on my heart and has been dealing with me on this subject for sometime.

When you think of a contractor you think of tools.  So picture this.

Hammer - hammers nails in but turn it around and it pulls the nails out.
Screw Driver - used to tighten screws if turned to the right but loosens them if turned to the left.
Pliers - tightens or loosens
Wire Cutters - cut wires

I think you get the picture.  How are we using our tools ladies?
Our tongue is like a hammer.  It can put people together or pull them apart.
The screw driver is our daily life.  Where are we going lefty loosey when we need to go righty tighty.
Our hands are like pliers.  What or who are we holding onto.
How many of us need wire cutters to cut the strings the have us tied down mentally, emotionally and even spiritually?  Did you just say Amen?

Listen this life is not a dress rehearsal.  It is the once chance we have to make a difference in the lives of the people around us.

It is time to build our houses ladies!  So grab your tool belt and hard hat and let's get to it!!!

Much Love,
Jamison

It's Praying Time

Good Morning, Saints!

On this past Sunday, an 89 year old faithful man of God preached from the pulpit and voiced "Stop Now, It's Praying Time"! Brothers and Sisters, I can not even begin to comment on how this statement has became so powerful in my life. We're only in our second week of the new year and already I've heard stories of people dealing with health issues, family loss, employment concerns, etc. It is praying time; probably pastime. Loved ones, I come this day to encourage each of you to remain in prayer. Pray when you're having a good day; Pray when you're having a bad day; Pray when you don't know how things are going to work out just pray...pray...pray! I believe God is still in control and we should not be consumed by this world but by the transforming of our minds...."

Heavenly Father, I come this morning with a sincere and grateful heart. Father, your grace and mercy are new to us every morning. Forgive us of any sins we might have committed. Forgive us from sins that we didn't know we committed. Continue to lead and guide us through our daily lives. Pierce our hearts to show and display love, even to the unlovable. Help us to be kind to all men. Help us to set aside our desires and set our minds upon you. Lord, we delight in you. Lord, we love you. Father, it is you that gives us life. It is you who knows our deepest thoughts and concerns and with this we know there will be no good thing you will withhold from us. We thank you for opened doors; we thank you for closed doors. Father, visit the ones who are in the hospital bed, fighting for their lives. Visit the homeless shelters. Visit the households. Visit the married couples, singles, divorced and widowed. Lord, we cry out for a visit from you. Lord, just do it. We are vessels ready to be sanctified and used by you. Father, get the glory out of our lives. Continue to help us to be mindful and discerning of spirits. Help us to wait with patience in all things and without grumbling or complaining. When times get hard, send your angels to comfort the broken hearted. Father, we know you are still in the blessing business and there is nothing to hard for you. Lord, we thank you that your word will not return back void. We thank you that you are ever omnipresent. We thank you that you've already destined us for greatness. So Lord we will endure hardness like a good soldier. Because in the end, we are certain that we will win. Thank you for your blood; thank you for taking my place on the cross; thank you for another chance. We love you Jesus; we love you with all of our hearts. We thank God and it is so, in Jesus name, Amen!

With much love and gratitude,

Chaquita

Concentrate On Me

HAPPY NEW YEAR, BROTHERS AND SISTERS!!!!

Hoping your first week of the year is starting off well. Many of us have returned from a much needed vacation and now, actively sprinting forward to newer and better things...As I'm sitting at my desk, the Lord spoke to my heart and said "Concentrate On Me". The definition of concerntrate was defined as "think intensely about something: to focus all of your thoughts or mental activity on one subject or activity, usually in silence". Question: How many of us have allowed "stuff" to flood our minds this week? ME!! There were so many concerns plaguing my mind since last year and I had forgotten about God's precious word "cast all your burdens on the Lord..." Oh what relief!!!

This year, I encourage each of you to not stress or worry about anything. God has already predestined us for greatness and He will see us to the end. Just hang in there. The good thing is HE KNOWS YOU!!!!

Father God, I come this day thanking you for another new year. Lord, we are so grateful to be amongst the land of the living while remembering those who did not live to see this day. Father, we may not know what this year will bring us but we are firm believers of your word and your promises. So we thank you for covering us from dangers seen and unseen. Lord, I declare and decree this day that each of my brothers and sisters will expect CRAZY, AMAZING BLESSINGS (thanks Renardo)! And it is so, in Jesus name, Amen!

So don't worry about tomorrow; forget about those problems and just begin to praise God wherever you are. God inhabits the praises of his people!!!! HALLELUJAH

Love you lots,

Chaquita
