Happy Monday!!!

Good Morning, Bloggers! Sorry for not reaching out to you all in the past week. Hoping that each of you are continuing holding on to God and his unchanging hands. Hoping that He will continue to enrich you and your families with peace, blessings and everlasting love. Remember that He is a God that can not lie and if we continue to delight ourselves in Him, he will give us the desires of our hearts. But let's not let that be our only means of serving Him. Let's become engrounded in His Word, His presence, His love so others may desire to know Him as well. Have you thanked Him today? Have you told him how much you love Him or adore Him? Don't hold on to anything and think He possibly doesn't know how you feel! Remember He already knew you when you were being created in the womb. HALLELUJAH!!!

Heavenly Father, we come this day with a mind made up to continue to serve, praise and worship you. Father, forgive us for any sins we have committed. Forgive us for not showing love to others as you would want us to. Convict us when we begin to think vain or deceitful things and cleanse us from selfish desires and wants. Father, we desire to stay in your will but help us to not fall prey to the enemy's tactics. We're aware that the enemy comes to kill, steal and destroy; he's always looking for someone to devour. Father, we come before you and acknowledge that you are the potter and we're the clay. We acknowledge YOU being our buckler, our strong tower, our refuse in the time of the storm. Father, deposit in us a spirit of discernment and let us not be moved or tricked by flattering words or actions. As we continue to live day by day, we commit our every being, thought and ways unto you. Father, we're seeking your direction in all areas of our lives. You are the Good Shepherd and we desire to be led by your Holy Spirit. Father, we love you. Father, whatever you're doing in the midst of my brothers and sisters, Amen! Father, whatever or whomever you need for us to let go, Amen! Father, even with tears in our eyes from pain, heartache and frustration, or misunderstandings, Lord Amen! For we know that all things work together for the good of those who love God. Be blessed and encouraged is my forever prayer for each of you!

Have a wonderful week!

What purpose are you serving?

Good Morning! In life, we become so consumned in our daily routines, jobs, duties etc. The reason being is because we EXPECT RESULTS such as promotions, raises, achievements and so forth. But what happens when the role(s) you've been portraying has became stale or unproductive? You may ask yourself this question, "what purpose am I serving?" Hmmm, now you may begin to ask "what area(s) in my life is lacking such purpose and what steps can be taken to improve the identified area?"

John 15:5 says: "I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing". Here Jesus is emphasizing the connection between the vine and the branches. Jesus is the source of life and the source of fruitfulness. The person who has a continual intimate fellowship with Jesus will produce much fruit. Apart from that fellowship with Jesus, we will not produce fruit no matter how hard we try or how much we work at it. We can read the Bible, study it in the different languages, and study all the works of different teachers and still not have fellowship with God the Father. We can pray until we are blue in the face and still not have fellowship with Jesus. We can obey all the laws and still not have fellowship with the Holy Spirit.

In conclusion, if you've ever asked yourself this question, don't condemn yourself into thinking that God does not love you. He may be trying to get your attention and needs you to focus on Him in spite of whatever you may be going through right now. He LOVES YOU! And don't you forget it. May you continue to seek God for direction in all areas of your life and watch how He'll work it out for you.

Listed below are some words to live by:

a . SEEK: (meaning to search diligently for).  (Jeremiah 29:13).
b. CALL: (meaning to cry out).  (Jeremiah 33:3).
c. ASK: (meaning to make a sincere request). (John 15:7).
d. WAIT: (meaning to be patient to receive). (Psalms 27:14).
e. HEAR: (meaning to listen to understand). (I Samuel 3:10).
f. VOLUNTEER: (meaning to be willing to serve before asked). (Isaiah 6:8).
g. OBEY: (meaning to follow through with the instructions).  (John 10:27).

**Illustration: Take a large clear pitcher and fill it most of the way with water. Pour in just enough cooking oil until you have a thin solid layer of oil on the surface of the water. Next, take some red food coloring and pour a few large drops of the food coloring on top of the oil and watch what happens. It may take a minute or more for the food coloring to penetrate through the oil. If after a minute or so nothing happens, try adding a little more red food coloring. Now, see the water as the world and yourself as the thin layer of cooking oil. See the red food coloring as the love of God flowing through your life into the world. Don't just read this, but try it. It will be an illustration that you won't forget.

Never Be Bound Again

Good Morning, All! Hoping that your week is going smoothly for each of you. If not, just think, it very well could be worse so embrace the moments while you are still able to live and breathe God's precious air.

Earlier this morning, I heard this song titled "Never Be Bound Again". I attempted to post its lyrics online but was unable to locate them. But some of the words are: "I will never be, bound again; I have my liberty; now, I'm free". Brothers and Sisters, this song should be a testimony to all who have ever been in bondage, prison or desolation. Many of us have experienced countless losses in our lives; we've allowed for those circumstances to affect our ability, our emotions and even our will to live. But know you this day, that we will never be bound again. Whatever current or past sitauation you find yourselves in, know that God has already won the battle and each of you has been predestined for VICTORY!!! It may not look like it; it may not even feel like it but just know that God has a purpose for you.

Remember Jamison and I are praying for you and wishing you the best on your Christian journey. In addition, please let us know what comments or suggestions you all may have in assuring the Salty and Bright team are meeting your spiritual needs.

Have a wonderful day!

June Memory Verse Is Up

Hello Everyone,

Okay! Today is June 1st and that means it is time for a new memory verse. This months verse come from Proverbs 13:12.
"Hope deferred makes the heart sick, but a longing fulfilled is a tree of life."
So many of us have hopes and desires that we are waiting on God to fulfill.  In our season of waiting we may feel heart sick, wondering if the things we have been praying about are going to become reality.  We cry and pray and cry some more and pray some more.

Take a look at the verse again.  "...but a longing fulfilled is a tree of life."  It takes a long time to grow a tree!!!(preaching to myself right now.)  It doesn't grow over night or in the time it takes to pop a bag of popcorn in the microwave.  We cannot treat God like He is a microwave and our prayers are the food.  Think trees!!! They take a long time to grow but when they are full grown they are full of green leaves, provide shade and protection and most of all they stand years and years.

You see, when we heat food in the microwave and don't eat it quickly it gets cold, hard and nasty.  Why would we want microwaved blessings from God?  Trees my friends think about the tree that He has planted and is cultivating for you.

Make it a great day!

Jamison
