Are You Bumping Into God

Good Morning! Okay guys this morning I had a revelation. While vacuuming my upstairs my and cleaning out my home office, Gizmo the Wonder Dog kept walking into me, bumping into me or standing right in the very spot I was working in. Then when I was walking down the hall way I stopped quickly Gizmo the Wonder Dog walked right into me! Then it hit me, are we walking so close to Jesus Christ that we bump into Him.

This daily Christian walk has its ups and downs. We have to stay close to Jesus everyday but are we staying close enough to Him that we bump into Him? You maybe asking the question, how can I stay that close to Jesus? We stay that close to Him by reading His Word and not just that but studying it to increase our understanding and knowledge. Asking for wisdom is another way of staying close to Him. In James 1:5 it says, "If any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him."

So how close are we really walking to Jesus Christ?

Much Love,
Jamison

When People Disappoint Us, Part 2

I want to begin this post the way I began the last one. God will never disappoint you. He is always there with you and He is your biggest supporter. God promised that He will never leave you nor forsake you. (Joshua 1:5)

In hearing from others pertaining to the post from yesterday our wonderful Lord and Savior put something else on my heart when I was leaving work today. Sometimes people disappoint us because we have placed them on a pedestal in our own minds and when they falter we are devastated because we expect so much from them.

The thing is, they probably did not ask to be placed on our perceived pedestal. We did that of our own accord because of how we see them or want to see them, even if we truly know they are not that person.

We, especially us ladies, have to be so careful not to place people in the position we think the should be in. I say especially us ladies because sometimes we have the tendency to think that since so and so is nice, saved, looks good and has at least a little vision then that person is the Gold Standard to base everyone else from. Then when we hear about or see that person making a wrong decision we act as if they did something horrible to us personally.

Please understand there is nothing wrong with thinking good of others but we must remember that they, like we are just dust.

Much Love,
Jamison

When People Disappoint Us

Let me start by saying that God will never disappoint you. There will be times when you will feel that He is not there or that He has forgotten all about you and your situation. But He says in Joshua 1:5 "...I will never leave you nor forsake you." When God gives you a promise He keeps it. His word is true!

So how do we deal with people who disappoint us? First, we must remember that they are only human. You may want to say that they should know better or that they should know the difference between right and wrong however my friends they are still human. You may want to say that they profess to be saved. All of those things may very well be true however we must remember we are all dust. And the thing about dust is that it will go which ever way the wind is blowing when it is dry and life less.

Imagine a desert that is dry and baron. When the wind blows across that land the dust and sand go wherever the wind takes it. Some of us have dry areas in our spiritual life that we have not addressed or have not fully given over to God. So when situations arise we go which ever way the wind is blowing in that desert land.

So when people disappoint you do not take it personal. There is just a desert land in their life that is needing the healing water of Jesus and the planting of the Holy Ghost in their lives.

Love Ya,
Jamison
