National Day Of Prayer

Hello Everyone,

Did you know that today is the National Day of Pray here in the United States of America?  There are special events all focused on prayer happening around the country today.  Please take time to pray for our nation, our president and our armed forces.  They all need our prayers.  This is not a political post or blog so please don't think I am giving support to anyone in politics.  Prayer is important for us all!  We all need it including those in our government.  Pray for the citizens in our country who do not know Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior that their hearts will be touched and that they will see the light of Christ Jesus in us leading them to Him. Amen.

I am including the President's comments on the National Day of Prayer from the official National Day of Prayer website.  We may want to also visit it at www.nationaldayof prayer.org.

Be blessed is my prayer for each of you.

Much Love,
Jamison

From the President of the United States

2012 NATIONAL DAY OF PRAYER PROCLAMATION
Prayer has always been a part of the American story, and today countless Americans rely on prayer for comfort, direction, and strength, praying not only for themselves, but for their communities, their country, and the world.
On this National Day of Prayer, we give thanks for our democracy that respects the beliefs and protects the religious freedom of all people to pray, worship, or abstain according to the dictates of their conscience. Let us pray for all the citizens of our great Nation, particularly those who are sick, mourning, or without hope, and ask God for the sustenance to meet the challenges we face as a Nation. May we embrace the responsibility we have to each other, and rely on the better angels of our nature in service to one another. Let us be humble in our convictions, and courageous in our virtue. Let us pray for those who are suffering around the world, and let us be open to opportunities to ease that suffering.
Let us also pay tribute to the men and women of our Armed Forces who have answered our country’s call to serve with honor in the pursuit of peace. Our grateful Nation is humbled by the sacrifices made to protect and defend our security and freedom. Let us pray for the continued strength and safety of our service members and their families. While we pause to honor those who have made the ultimate sacrifice defending liberty, let us remember and lend our voices to the principles for which they fought — unity, human dignity, and the pursuit of justice.
NOW, THEREFORE, I, BARACK OBAMA, President of the United States of America, do hereby proclaim May 3, 2012, as a National Day of Prayer. I invite all citizens of our Nation, as their own faith directs them, to join me in giving thanks for the many blessings we enjoy, and I call upon individuals of all faiths to pray for guidance, grace, and protection for our great Nation as we address the challenges of our time.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand this first day of May, in the year of our Lord two thousand twelve, and of the Independence of the United States of America the two hundred and thirty-sixth.
BARACK OBAMA

Walls: Keep Your Guard Up

Greetings Brothers and Sisters!!!

I apologize for not greeting you on yesterday. I'm trusting each of you are steadily "press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus". It's truly a wonderful feeling in knowing that we are His children and because we're His children we have been called as heirs to His kingdom, AMEN!!!

In reference to Jamison's post, she listed issues that tends to play a role in each of our lives such as distractions, personal issues, family issues, etc without seemingly knowing that her post will intricately play a role in the topic I'm about to share with you, WALLS: KEEP YOUR GUARD UP!

The book of Nehemiah is solely based on a man whose main task was to build a wall as ordained by God. Without hesitation, Nehemiah complied but this task was not easy. He faced threats, oppositions, and need I say, distractions. Referencing Nehemiah 6 (I so love this chapter), he was doing the work of the Lord until he was met with distractions or tricks of the enemy (Sanballat, Tobiah and Geshem the Arab). They tried to detour Nehemiah from building the wall by using false accusations and threats but Nehemiah replied to these accusations by saying" For they all made us afraid saying, their hands shall be weakened from the work, that it be not done. Now therefore, O God, strengthen my hands", (Nehemiah 6:9)...Nehemiah didn't stop what he was doing nor did he become distracted by the enemy; he diligently and faithfully depended on the Lord for help and we see that the wall was built in 52 days!!! So I say to you, BE ENCOURAGED! Yes, the enemy will do EVERYthing that He can to get you from doing God's work but BE LIKE THE TREE THAT'S PLANTED BY THE WATER...DO NOT BE MOVED!!!

Father, it's with great pleasure and joy that I come before you in the name of Jesus. Lord, thank you for shielding each of us from dangers seen and unseen. Thank you for your endless forgiving ways toward us. Lord, we thank you. Father, we shield ourselves in the armour of God while singing praises unto you. For we think it not strange concerning these fiery trials as though something strange is happening to us but we count it ALL JOY when we fall into divers temptations. Lord, it's because of You we are able to lift up our eyes whence cometh our help, our help cometh from You. Hallelujah! In the matchless name of Jesus Christ, we thank you and Amen....Amen!!!

P.S. Leaders are targets for attacks. Please remember to pray for our spiritual leaders and their families.

Thank You!

Love,

Chaquita

May Memory Verse

Hello Everyone,

It is nice to take a little break this morning and give you the new memory verse for the month of May! This month the verse is coming from Proverbs.

"Let your eyes look straight ahead;
fix your gaze directly before you"
Proverbs 4:25 NIV

I have this verse on a sticky note on the wall next to my desk at work.  Sometimes we get so distracted by our issues, drama, other peoples issues and drama, work problems, spouse problems, kid problems and then our own personal problems.  With all of these issues and problems we take our eyes off of the mark (goal) we are supposed to be running towards.  What is the goal you say?

"Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself to have taken hold of it.
But one thing I do, forgetting what is behind and straining towards what is ahead.
I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me
heavenward in Christ Jesus."
Philippians 3:13-14 NIV

The goal is to live our lives for Christ Jesus!  To push to be more like Him.  To follow His commands and teachings.  To obey God.  These are the life goals of a Christian.  Our prize is in heaven so we must keep pressing (praying, living right, working for the Lord) until we get there.  I encourage you to read the entire 3rd chapter of the book of Philippians to help you better understand what Paul is talking about and to help you know what you are running for.  Be Blessed!

Much Love To You All!

Jamison

Esther, What A Woman!!!

Good Morning, Everybody!!! Jesus have really been blessing my soul! Like the scripture says, if you draw close to Him, he will draw close to you....

This week, I've been engulfed by reading the Book of Esther. If you have not read this book or need to refresh your memory concerning this woman of God, I BEG YOU, to please do so. Lounge in your favorite jammies, slip on your loafers and cuddle up with the Lord. Just watch how HE'll hold your attention throughout every chapter.

Being labeled as a spoiler is not my forte, so again, please read the Book of Esther, and let's review it together. Hoping each of you will be blessed in and out of season. In Jesus name, Amen!

Have a blessed week!

Lord, Pull On My Heartstrings

Happy Tuesday, Children of God!!! I pray goodness and mercy shall follow you all the rest of your days. During my time of meditation last night, "Lord, pull on my heartstrings" manifested in my spirit. Curious to know the concept behind this statement, I questioned the significance of its meaning. So I thought about guitar strings (chords) and the angelic instrument, the harp. Both are capable and powerful in allowing us to experience a nostalgic effect caused by its melodious sounds. But ask yourself, who's doing the work? Is it the strings or is it the person playing the music?

Brothers and Sisters, I have to attest that it's my God who continues to pull me through the many valleys and abysses of life challenges. Daily  remind yourselves on how WONDERFUL and how GREAT our God is to consider you as one of His own. He is the POTTER and we are the clay!! Allow Him to make beautiful music in and out of your life! Allow HIM to AWE you in your daily walk! And when people ask, "why are you so happy?" Just respond and say, "God is playing my favorite music and all credit belongs to Him".

Heavenly Father, we come boldly before your throne of grace, with a heart of gratitude. Because of You we are able to live. Father, we ask that you forgive us of our sins and wash us from any act of inquity or wickedness. We are your vessels seeking and desiring to be used by you. Lord, help us to cast our concerns on you so that we may continue to walk with boldness and righetousness. Father, please guard our hearts and emotions so we may not defraud ourselves in the face of the enemy. Help us to discern spirits of lust, trickery and decpetion. Father bring the word to our memory to help us fight off those things that are not from you. Father, please continue to cover our pastors, pastors' wives and the entire body of Christ. Father, we love you and adore you. We offer our hearts unto you and ask that you make the most beautiful music ever played and contagious enough to win over lost souls in this world. Jesus, we know you are able to do exceedingly and abundantly above all we can ask or think according to your riches and glory. In your son Jesus name, we pray and give thanks, Amen!

Love,

Chaquita

Be Thankful

Good Morning, Brothers and Sisters! Please recall a prayer request for our sister, Renee, who was battling cancer. Sadly, I'm sorry to report that she died this morning at 5am. The flesh may not ever be able to comprehend it but our spiritual natures should be thanking God that our sister no longer has to suffer in pain anymore. So I ask that you keep her family in your prayers and remember others during your time of meditation. As always, may God continue to shield and protect you and your loved ones. Be blessed is my prayer!

Love,

Chaquita
